History
History of The Roberts Roost
Built in 1938, this unique home originally served as a large chicken coop. The original owner, affectionately known city-wide as "The Chicken Man," was famous for his poultry. Customers would pull up to the coop, select their chicken, and "The Chicken Man" would skillfully prepare it for them on the spot.
During our 2017 renovation of Robert's Roost, we discovered a heartfelt message in a bottle left by the original owners and builders. This piece of history has been carefully framed and is displayed near the front door for all to see.
